Renal Panel Clone: S22 Mr 115,000 gylcoprotein. The URO-7 antigen
has not been detected in any normal fetal or adult tissue tested. A weak
staining of Bowman's capsule has been observed in adjacent normal kidney
from patients with renal cancer. URO-7 defines a subset of renal
carcinomas. It has been found in only one adrenal cortical carcinoma and
one bladder transitional cell carcinoma. Other carcinomas, as well as
astrocytomas, melanomas, sarcomas, leukemias and lymphomas are negative.
