Renal Panel Clone: S4 Mr 160,000 gylcoprotein. The URO-2 antigen
is found in glomeruli, proximal tubules, vessels and interstitial matrix
of renal medulla and other tissues, including placenta, myometrium, and
fetal lung. A subset of renal cancers express URO-2. URO-2 is also found
in chondrosarcomas, osteosarcomas, spindle cell sarcomas and
mesotheliomas. URO-2 is not detected in carcinomas of non-renal origin,
astrocytomas or melanomas.
