Description:
The Sf21 cell line was cloned from pupal ovarian tissue of the Fall
Armyworm Spodoptera frugiperda by Vaughn et al. The Sf21 cell line is
highly susceptible to infection with Autographa california nuclear
polyhedrosis virus (AcNPV baculovirus), and can be used with all
baculovirus expression vectors. Because Sf21 cells have a large size
they provide higher expression levels of some proteins.

Content:
1 x 107 Sf21 cells in 70 ml of Serum Free Insect Medium for
cells in culture. 1 x 107 viable Sf21 cells in 1 ml Serum
Free Insect Medium containing 10% DMSO for frozen cells.

Storage:
Cells in culture are shipped at room temperature and should be processed
immediately upon receipt. Frozen cells can be stored at -80°C for up to
one month. For long-term stability, store frozen cells in liquid
nitrogen.
