simplex Virus I & II Polyclonal The SIGNET rabbit anti-HSV I and II
polyclonal antibody reacts with HSV infected tissues and tissue culture
preparations. The HSV I and II antibody has been found to cross-react
with the varicella zoster virus and cytomegalovirus (CMV). The intensity
of staining of zoster-infected cells is much less than that of
HSV-infected cells. The cross-reactivity with CMV is a nonspecific
reaction resulting in positive staining in both the anti-HSV stained
slide and the negative control, non-immune rabbit serum stained slide.
