Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor Clone: F4 Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR) -
170 kD. The SIGNET monoclonal anti-EGFR, clone F4, detects the
intracellular domain of the 170 kD Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor
transmembrane protein. The EGFR antibody demonstrates reactivity in
tumors that express relatively high levels of EGFR such as squamous cell
carcinoma, sarcoma, glioma, gynecological, breast, bladder, and lung
tumors. The observed staining pattern is cytoplasmic, however, in
addition to the cytoplasm squamous cell carcinoma has also shown a
strong peripheral membrane stain. The EGFR monoclonal antibody will also
stain the EGFR expressed in the A-431 cell line. |
