antibody, E-13, identifies an immediate early, non-structural antigen of
72 kD. This antigen can be detected as early as 1 hour after infection.
The intensity peaks at 96 hours, and persists throughout the complete
CMV cycle. The E-13 antibody demonstrates a specific nuclear stain and
does not cross react with EBV, ADV, VZV, or HSV. |
