(Blood Group Antigen) Lewis y Clone: F3 Isotype: IgM The BG-8 monoclonal antibody detects the
Lewis Y (type 2 chain) antigen, expressed in studies of large bowel
tumors and colorectal carcinomas. It may be useful in the classification
of human renal and bladder tumors. F3 is specific for Lewis Y (Type 2
Chain). The Lewis Y antigen has been evaluated as a clinical marker for
the diagnosis (2,3) and prognosis of cholangiocarcinoma, hepatocellular
carcinoma and breast cancer. The expression of Lewis Y antigen has been
investigated in various normal and diseased tissues. |
