Amyloid, 4G8, Purified Clone: 4G8 Isotype: IgG2b Reactive to amino acid residue 17-24 of
human Amyloid Beta peptide. Epitope lies within amino acids 18-22 of
beta amyloid peptide (VFFAE). Clone 4G8 may react with mouse Amyloid
Beta protein when the IgG and/or antigen concentrations are higher than
optimal. Beta amyloid forms have been shown to be deposited in CNS of
patients with Alzheimer’s Disease and Down’s Syndrome. Signet’s Beta
Amyloid antibodies (4G8 and 6E10) react to the abnormally processed
isoforms as well as precursor forms. Monoclonal antibodies 4G8 and 6E10
are highly reactive to beta amyloid form of APP |
