Apolipoprotein-D (ApoD), TCS
Clone: 8CD6 Isotype: IgG1
Apolipoprotein-D (APO-D, APO D, APOD), a
glycoprotein of 24 kDa molecular size, is a constituent of high density
lipoprotein in plasma, and was first isolated in large quantity as
GCDFP-24 (GCDFP24), the major protein component of most human breast
cyst fluids. In recent studies, Apo-D immunoreactivity has been shown to
be a potential indicator of prostate cancer, Alzheimer’s Disease,
schizophrenia, and Neiman-Pick Disease.
